As an industry veteran, Terri has been invited to speak in a number of public forums. Most recently in NYC as a guest lecturer in 2019 at the Silver Fox Model Camp.  You might have seen her on The Tyra Banks Show talking about her weight and its role in the end of her 21-year marriage, The Today Show as the “Glamorous Grandma,”  in Plus Model' Magazine's  2011 “Icon” issue, POSE Magazine's Most Inspirational Issue and heard her on the Chenese Lewis  Blog Talk Radio. Or perhaps you saw her as a panelist at the "Women In the Spotlight Now" conference in Atlanta!  She was invited to speak at CCAD, Columbus College of Art and  Design on Plus Size History.  Currently, she is quoted in "Get Noticed!   Insider Secrets to a Confident & Classy Image" by Brenda Joyce  Johnson and in "Plus Model Blueprint" by Kenyatta Johnson, both  available at Amazon.

Among  other awards and honors, Terri was honored as a "LEGEND" in the  industry in 2016 and named the 2011 Plus Fit Model of the Year by a jury of  her peers at Full Figured Fashion Week in New York City!   In November 2021, she was the Lifetime Achievement Honoree recipient in New York City presented by TheFFIAS, The Full-Figured Industry Awards

Behind the camera, Terri produced, and directed a doumentary, "Vaudvillities." and performed in an Off Broadway production in NYC.  With  over twenty-nine years in the business, Terri is more active than ever  in the fashion community. Listening to the advice of many, she founded Terri Murray Models and books models all over the country including Virtual Fitting.  She was President of the New York  Tri-State Chapter of the Association of Image Consultants International and former Regional Director of Fashion Group International in Columbus, Ohio.

Her "curvy" tours with You Go Girls Travel on the West Coast are popular vacation destinations in Paris and New York.  She presents a fun collection of current Lingerie Trends with great tips, excellent advice and fittings!  Lane Bryant says she is an intimate apparel fit expert in the industry and she doesn't disappoint!

 

Terri resides now in Florida continuing to book models nationally. She has two daughters, four  granddaughters, and one great granddaughter and the first great grandson.  They have affectionately refer to her as “Grandma New York."   She hopes that her successful career as a model, trainer, educator, and consultant will motivate and inspire you  to DREAM ON AND DREAM BIG!!!
